FAQ

Questions you’re probably asking.

Everything I get asked most often, grouped by topic. If your question isn’t here, email me directly and I’ll answer it personally.

About the career

What exactly is an SDR or BDR?+

A Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Business Development Representative (BDR) helps create or qualify sales opportunities. The work can include account research, phone, email and LinkedIn outreach, inbound qualification, meeting booking and CRM updates. Employers define the exact scope.

I have zero sales experience. Can I really do this?+

You can apply where the vacancy accepts transferable or equivalent experience. Other roles require prior sales work. We focus on the criteria in the live vacancy and make your relevant communication, customer, target-based and preparation evidence easy to verify.

How much can I realistically earn in year one?+

QuotaClub's 2026 Australian market model places a Junior SDR at about A$66.5k base and A$90k to A$100k on-target earnings (OTE), and a standard SDR at A$75k base and A$100k to A$115k OTE, before super. These are directional market estimates, not guaranteed first-year earnings.

Is this remote-friendly from my country?+

I work from Bali with clients worldwide. Tech companies in the US, UK, Australia and Europe regularly hire remote and hybrid SDRs.

About working together

How long until I’m hired?+

It varies with the market, target roles, application quality, interview processes and time available. QuotaClub does not promise a hiring timeline or an offer. The active job-search support follows the programme terms.

What’s the time commitment per week?+

Around 5 focused hours. One 1:1 call plus action items between calls. Some clients put in more during the active job-search phase.

When does the next cohort start?+

There are no cohorts. Starts are rolling. You begin the week after your discovery call.

What does a typical 1:1 call look like?+

45 to 60 minutes on Zoom, tailored to whatever phase you’re in. Early on it’s CV review, LinkedIn build-out, career clarity. Middle phase: mock interviews, mock cold calls, application reviews. Once you’re hired: call reviews, sequence feedback, tool walkthroughs.

About the investment

What are the three main pricing options?+

SDR Foundations training is one payment of A$795. Job Search Partner is A$695 in month 1, A$450 in month 2 and A$295 per month from month 3 while active. Complete SDR Launch, which combines training and job-search support, is A$1,295 in month 1, then follows the same A$450 and A$295 schedule.

What’s the refund policy?+

The three main plans include a 14-day fit guarantee from the first paid session. Ask in writing within that window for a full refund of the plan fees paid. After that, monthly members can cancel future renewals without an exit fee. This is in addition to rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Can I claim this on tax?+

Do not assume it is deductible. The ATO says self-education expenses generally need a sufficient connection to your current employment activities and cannot be claimed when they enable new employment or a change of employment. Check the current ATO guidance or ask a registered tax adviser about your circumstances.

Why choose this instead of a bootcamp or online course?+

QuotaClub is 1:1 and tailored to your background. You can choose practical SDR training, hands-on job-search support, or both. The monthly job-search plans include agreed calls and active-process support without a fixed maximum subscription term; they do not guarantee an offer or timeline.
